The IF Project is a men's mental health and wellbeing initiative focussed on providing support to men across the globe.
'If' by Rudyard Kipling serves as the framework for the digital therapy tools - turning the 'Ifs' the poem presents into 'Hows'.
The IF Project is driven with heart by Darwin businessman Clinton Hoffmann who tragically lost a close friend to suicide in 2016. Our aim is to de-mystify and de-stigmatise mental health by delivering therapy tools to men everywhere in a common language that anyone can understand.
The first step was to animate the 'IF' by Rudyard Kipling, a relatable poem which line-by-line talks about an aspect of self awareness and self development. The IF Guide was then created that builds upon the twelve 'IFs' in the poem. The IF App was then developed as a platform for men to access the eBook and other tools.
The IF Guide offers life skills and functions as a guide toward providing men frameworks to help manage life.
It includes advice from therapist Barry Hogg, artwork by renowned Australian artist Geoff Todd, and, song lists collated by musician Michael Maher that reflect key messages from each section.
The IF App includes an interactive version of the IF Guide which provides enriching content and unpacks how men can be their best selves.
The app enables men to link into support networks and local events across Australia to talk about mental wellbeing. Connect with other IF Men to find mentors and role models and receive regular news and release of content to keep mental health high on your agenda.
